ThanksLIVING
“And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing.”
Psalm 107:22
Dear Friends,
As we come to the end of November 2019 and this weekend where Americans celebrate Thanksgiving, I’m grateful that most people, even those with nominal faith, will say that they’re thankful for all that God has done. This is awesome! The truth is, our voices should be lifted up, and often, about the goodness of God.
But, as I was reading this passage, the words of the great theologian Adam Clark came to mind, “the greatest sacrifice of Thanksgiving we can give is our lives.” We, as God’s people, should willingly sacrifice our whole life – body, soul and spirit – for all that He has done. Yes, Thanksgiving is good but thanksLIVING is even better! Every day we should offer Him our service through faithful church attendance, generous giving, consistent prayer and reaching out to others around us.
This Thanksgiving, let’s make it a ThanksLIVING holiday by offering ourselves up to the Lord. May I say how grateful to God I am for each of you and for your support of this ministry.
May God’s Richest Blessings Be Upon You,
Dr. Tim Pollock, Senior Pastor
