Immediately After a Believer’s Death
“We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.”
2 Corinthians 5:8
Dear Friends,
Do you know what eternity holds for you? Knowing our ultimate destiny will give us confidence in facing whatever comes our way.
The Bible is abundantly clear about one fact – whoever places their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ will live eternally with God. There is no pause or waiting for a believer after death, the soul enters heaven immediately.
Paul reminded the Corinthian Christians that upon leaving we are, “…absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord” (2 Corinthians 5:8). A believer is not put in some celestial place where additional cleansing needs to take place, where sins would be purged. No, scripture is crystal clear on this; Jesus paid the price for all our sins – past, present and future. The atonement of Jesus is a finished work.
Friend, accept Christ as your personal Lord and Savior and know that when you pass away, you will be present with the Lord Himself!
A Bright Future,
